When we plan a play activity, we can start by asking ourselves: What are the child’s prerequisites for participating in play? It can be helpful to think of social interaction in play on a scale from solo play to parallel play to games and collaborative play. You can be inspired by our various play activities that are designed to make children want to engage in the learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to strengthen the child in moving to the right in the long run, we have discovered that it can be advantageous to have an eye for when you must move slightly to the left, so that the process is meaningful and safe on the short run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have developed and tested 72 play activities that can be accessed in two ways; via the scale above or by choosing one of the six construction activities below. All play activities serve as inspiration to get started with playful learning. That is, when you are a beginner, choose a play activity, try it out, reflect, and try again.
