Reflection Routines

The reflection routines help us make the social learning between us concrete and visible, so that we can better explore and share our learning. When we reflect on our experiences, our learning is deepened. Many people need scaffolding of the reflection, and here you will get inspiration for how we can use reflection routines both before, during, and after the play activities.

Reflection routines are a kind of ‘time out’ where we examine and reflect on the social strategies that we use between us and the feelings that arise during the play activity. It is important that it does not only take place verbally but that we create a common third that captures some important elements from the learning situation and makes them visible and concrete.
