Parallel

During parallel play, we are doing the same activity next to each other. Even though it might look like we are not playing together, there is still a lot of interaction between us. We are watching what the others are doing but we mainly follow our own ideas, thoughts, opinions etc. We can use the activities from parallel play to get better at noticing and supporting the windows of interaction that occur between us.

Parallel – Build a Model

In the play activities, we build a model in different ways. In the activities, the children have the opportunity to explore and gain experience with building models. The three variations are inspiration to start building models in parallel play sessions.
